Natural essential oil extracted from the stems and leaves of lemongrass (Cymbopogon), by steam distillation. It is characterized by a strong, pleasant citrus aroma.
It is helpful in treating depression, anxiety and apathy. Also used as a muscle and joint pain reliever. Used as a fragrance ingredient with proven insect repellent properties (mosquitoes, flies, fleas, ticks), it also largely prevents bites.

How Citronella oil works:

- has an anti-stress, calming effect, i.e. soothes nerves

- the oil has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties
- has the power to repel bothersome insects

Directions foruse:

- Add a few drops of the oil ( in combination with a base oil, e.g. almond oil ) to a bathtub filled with 1/3 of warm water, thus reducing symptoms of stress
- For body massage, mix a dozen drops of the oil with a portion of the base oil. Such a massage relieves nervous tension, muscle and joint pain.
- For headaches or migraines, add 2-3 drops of oil per pump of sweet almond and gently massage the temples with your fingertips.
- Use in a fireplace, diffuser, or humidifier. The oil has a calming effect and is helpful for headaches and migraines
- Can be used as an ingredient in sophisticated homemade perfumes
