Litsea Cubeba essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the peppery fruit of Litsea cubeba
or May Chang.
It is native to China and the tropical regions of Southeast Asia and belongs to the plant kingdom of the Lauraceae family.
It is also known as Mountain Pep per ( mountain pepper ) or Chinese Pepper ( Chinese pepper) and has a rich history in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TMC).
